Browns' Savage: Our Team Didn't Quit

ESPN - Cleveland GM Phil Savage doesn't buy into the belief that members of the team quit against the Broncos last Thursday.

Instead, the GM believes that players like running back Jamal Lewis and returner Josh Cribbs were simply trying to send a message.

"I think they were maybe trying to deliver a message to certain players," Savage said in a radio interview. "Who those players are, I don't know. But we evaluate and watch all of our games, and I wouldn't characterize it as quitting. I would characterize it as there was not the focus that was needed in the key moment and the key play." [READ]
