Rams' Holt Unhappy With Limited Role
1st November, 2008 - 11:33 am
St. Louis Post-Dispatch - Rams' receiver Torry Holt has rarely complained publicly about not getting the football, but he's started to get frustrated with his limited role on offense.

"At times I do," Holt said of getting frustrated. "At times, I feel like there?s a situation where I?m being phased out. Who knows? We?ve still got (nine) more games left, and we?ll see how those (nine) games go. And then, once the season?s over with, come back and ask me and see how I feel."

When Coach Jim Haslett took over for Scott Linehan on Sept. 29, he stressed that he wanted to get the ball in the hands of his top playmakers, mentioning running back Steven Jackson, rookie wide receiver Donnie Avery, and Holt.

However, nothing has changed.

"Yeah, you said it," Holt said. "You hit the nail on the head. I?m here every day. I?m here working and getting myself prepared and ready to go out and try to help us. I was told the same thing. So I?ll continue to stay patient and see how things develop." [READ]
