Cards' James Frustrated With Reduced Role

ESPN - Cardinals' running back Edgerrin James is frustrated with his decreased role in the team's offense.

James, who signed a four-year, $30 million deal in 2006, has 363 yards on 101 attempts for Arizona. He doesn't want to create controversy but acknowledged that his reduced role has been bothering him.

"I don't know what's going on," he said. "I'm just here, just going to ride it out and get to the playoffs and, hey, that may be it right there," he said.

When asked by the Arizona Republic if he'd like to play for the team next season, James said, "I don't want to just be on a team; I like to play. If I'm not playing, it's not serving a purpose. What purpose is it serving? I don't want to feel like I'm selfish, but you want to play." [READ]
