28th October, 2005 - 6:27 pm
ESPN - The Buffalo Bills on Friday afternoon signed cornerback Terrence McGee to a four-year contract extension that will keep their emerging young star off the restricted free agent market next spring.

The extension, which runs through the 2009 season, culminates months of on-and-off discussions between Buffalo officials and agent Terry Bolar. It averages roughly $4.5 million per year in "new money" and includes a $5 million signing bonus.

As first reported last Friday in a "Tip Sheet" item, negotiations were ramped up last week when Buffalo increased its offer to $16.75 million over four years. [READ]
