Titans Release Chris Simms

Tennessean - The Titans have released quarterback Chris Simms to make room for punter Josh Miller on their roster.

Simms, signed by the Titans on Sept. 10, is expected to be re-signed early next week. The team was in need of a punter because Craig Hentrich is suffering from back issues.

The move means that Vince Young will be the team's No. 2 quarterback against the Ravens this Sunday. [READ]
