Peyton On Pace For Worst Season Of Career

Oct 02, 2008 10:21 AM EST

Colts quarterback Peyton Manning hasn't looked comfortable through the team's three games, and is on pace to have the worst statistical season of his career.

He's on pace to post 4,181 yards, 16 touchdowns and 21 interceptions, while completing 59.2% of his passes with a 73.1 QB rating.

He hasn't thrown more interceptions than touchdowns since his rookie season, nor he has completed less than 60% of his passes or recorded a QB rating of less than 84.1 since 1998.

His season averages are as follows: 4,163 yards, 31 touchdowns and 16 interceptions with a 64.1% completion percentage and a 94.2 QB rating.

Only his yardage total is on pace to eclipse, or even come near, his career averages.

Manning could begin to turn his season around against the Texans this Sunday.

Peyton has faced Houston twelve times in his career, posting 3,292 yards, 29 touchdowns and just 4 interceptions.
