Cromartie: I Played Like 'Straight Trash'

San Diego Union-Tribune - Chargers' cornerback Antonio Cromartie has placed the blame on himself for the team's defensive short-comings against the Broncos in Week Two, according to San Diego Union-Tribune.

"I take fault for it," Cromartie said. "I played like straight trash."

He was hoping to have one of the greatest seasons ever for a cornerback in 2008, but two games in nothing has gone according to plan.

"Any corner should be," he said of being embarrassed. "That is the worst I've ever played; that is probably going to be the worst game I ever play."

He was flagged four times against Denver and, according to STATS, Inc., Cromartie was burned 10 of the 11 times he was targeted Sunday, which contributed mightily to the Broncos' 350 receiving yards. [READ]
