Alex Smith's Shoulder Hurting Again

San Francisco Chronicle - The shoulder of 49ers quarterback Alex Smith is ailing once again, and he is unlikely to play in Sunday's opener, according to San Francisco Chronicle.

Smith is suffering from soreness in his right shoulder.

During Friday's practice, Smith sustained what Coach Mike Nolan described as "a non-contact injury" to the shoulder.

Smith said on Thursday that his shoulder felt fine, but earlier in the preseason, he said it wasn't 100 percent. [READ]
