Adam Jones To Start For Cowboys?
5th September, 2008 - 10:34 am
NFL.com - Adam Jones could start at cornerback for the Cowboys this weekend against the Browns due to an injury to teammate Terence Newman, according to NFL.com.

"Yeah, if we didn't start Newman, Adam Jones would start," Coach Wade Phillips said Thursday.

Jones hasn't played since 2006, after receiving a season-long suspension from the NFL in 2007 while with Tennessee.

Even if Newman is able to start, Jones could see a ton of snaps in order to rest Newman.

"I don't have a preference," Phillips said. "I wouldn't want to hold back Adam if that was the case. I feel good about how he's played, and he is ready to play." [READ]
