| 29th August, 2008 - 3:08 pm |  Star Tribune - A Vikings' executive said Thursday that owner Zygi Wilf has turned down overtures from billionaire real estate developer Ed Roski Jr. to discuss moving the team to Los Angeles.
"They have knocked on our door, but we have declined," said Lester Bagley, Vikings vice president of public affairs and stadium development. "We have not had a meeting or discussion with Roski. All of our updates have come through the league. Our intention is to resolve the issue in Minnesota, but clearly they are out proactively seeking a team and they are the ones that listed the seven teams."
Roski's business partner John Semcken told the San Gabriel Valley Tribune this week that seven franchises have expressed interest in coming to Roski's stadium, but Semcken would not name them.
In April, Roske listed the Vikings -- along with the Saints, Bills, Jaguars, Chargers, Raiders, and 49ers -- as one of seven teams that might move to L.A. [READ] |
