Culpepper Would Consider Backup Role With Packers

NFL.com - Free agent quarterback Daunte Culpepper would consider a backup role with the Packers this season, according to NFL.com.

"I have not heard from the Packers since before the draft," Culpepper said Thursday night. "My ears are definitely opened to listen if they need a proven backup for Aaron."

Green Bay has a pair of rookies (Matt Flynn and Brian Brohm) backing up Aaron Rodgers.

Not surprisingly, Brohm believes the Packers are all set. "I don't think we need to bring in a veteran backup because I think all three of us are ready to go," he said. [READ]
