Holmgren: Alexander's Contract Will Have To Wait Until After Season

The Seattle Times - Mike Holmgren told KJR-AM radio yesterday that the Seahawks will wait until the end of the season to evaluate the possibility of a long-term contract for RB Shaun Alexander, currently the NFL's leading rusher.

The coach said he would not be opposed to having Alexander back for years to come. Team president Tim Ruskell had said in training camp that Alexander's contract situation would be examined during the season. [READ]
