Asteroid Named After Ex-Steelers Announcer

ESPN - An asteroid has been named after former Steelers' announcer Myron Cope, who died this past February, according to The Associated Press.

The International Astronomical Union has agreed to name an asteroid after Cope.

The asteroid orbits the sun between Mars and Jupiter and is now officially known as 7835 Myroncope. It is about three miles wide and 88 million miles from Earth. It cannot be seen by the naked eye. [READ]
