Mike Williams Trying To Save Career With Titans

The Detroit Free Press - Wide receiver Mike Williams, the tenth overall pick in the 2005 NFL Draft, is attempting to save his career with the Titans this season, according to The Detroit Free Press.

Williams lost 30 pounds this offseason and was with the team bright and early when workouts began recently.

"That conversation with Fisher, only a fool wouldn't take it as such," Williams said of Coach Jeff Fisher's request that he get in shape. "It was pretty much, 'You make a commitment to be in shape when you come back or ... move forward.'"

"His weight's coming down. We're working on the speed. He's running well and catching well, so it's going to be very competitive there," Fisher said. "I'm pleased with where he is." [READ]
