Kiki Vandeweghe came back. Dan Issel returned not once but twice. Why not David Thompson? Thompson, whose No. 33 hangs above the Pepsi Center floor, said Friday he would welcome a chance to work with Issel and Vandeweghe in the Denver Nuggets front office.

The three played together in Denver from 1980-82.

"I wouldn't mind coming back here and doing something with the team," Thompson said. "If we could work something out that'd be great."
