UNFL Names Joe Cribbs As Commissioner

The New York Times - The United National Football League (UNFL) has turned to 1980 UPI AFL-AFC Rookie of the Year Joe Cribbs to be Commissioner and the face of the upstart professional football league.

"I tell everyone that there?s one professional football league, and that?s the National Football League," Tomlin said. "But in the same place, the N.F.L. does not have a developmental system."

"We feel that our league will give fans the opportunity to see players over a longer period of time," Cribbs added. [READ]
