A notoriously slow starter, even when healthy, Duncan is enjoying the best start of his five-year career. He's averaging career bests in points (24.1), rebounds (13.4), blocks (2.6), assists (3.7) and turnovers (2.8) and has even put last season's free-throw follies behind him, shooting a career-high 78.6 percent from the line.

Among the league leaders, he ranks first in double-doubles (10) and rebounding, third in blocks and eighth in scoring. On Monday he was named the Western Conference Player of the Week for the second time in three weeks.

"I just feel great," Duncan said. "That's what it comes down to. I feel healthy."
