Eagles Sign Franchised TE Smith

Local 6 - The Eagles have reached an agreement with franchised tight end L.J. Smith on a new contract, according to Local 6 News in Philadelphia.

The one-year contract will pay Smith an average of the five highest-paid tight ends in the game next season.

"We're glad to have L.J. back," said Head Coach Andy Reid. "We expect him to have a Pro Bowl-caliber season for us. I know he's worked very hard since the 2007 campaign ended, and he will continue to do so throughout the offseason." [READ]
