| 20th February, 2008 - 10:00 pm |  Associated Press - Oakland placed the exclusive franchise tag on cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha on Wednesday, keeping him from becoming an unrestricted free agent, according to an Associated Press report.
Asomugha will be guaranteed at least $9.465M next season but could still sign a long-term deal. Because the Raiders used the designation on Asomugha, he?s unable to negotiate with any other team. The deadline for designating franchise players is this Thursday. [READ] |
