Dolphins Release Thomas After 11 Seasons

ESPN - After eleven seasons with the team the Miami Dolphins have released linebacker Zach Thomas, according to ESPN.com.

"I have a tremendous appreciation and admiration not only for the Dolphins' organization but for the fans as well, for all of the support that they have given me," Thomas said in a statement on Thursday, during which he thanked owner Wayne Huizenga, Bill Parcells and General Manager Jeff Ireland.

Thomas has accumulated more than 1,500 tackles in his career with the Dolphins. [READ]
