Cavaliers head coach John Lucas is determined to toughen up forward Chris Mihm, who was raised in suburbia and never seems to have a hair out of place. Mihm passed one of Lucas' tests Saturday. In the third quarter of the Cavs' 87-84 loss at New Jersey, Mihm asked to come out of the game. Mihm had been throwing up due to food poisoning throughout Thursday night and missed practice Friday. But Lucas didn't listen to Mihm. ``He wanted to come out,'' Lucas said. ``I wouldn't take him out.'' So Mihm stayed in, and what happened? He ended up with a career-high 20 points in 35 minutes. ``That's expected from a pro,'' Lucas said. ``That's my comment to him. I expect that from a pro who wants to be a star. He played very well. He's growing and developing.'' |
