Holmgren Expects Branch OK To Practice, Play

ESPN - Seattle Seahawks' Coach Mike Holmgren expects receiver Deion Branch to practice this week and be available for Saturday's divisional playoff game against Green Bay.

Branch, hobbled by a strained calf -- and before that, a mid-foot sprain -- has been given the OK to practice, and Holmgren is hopeful the Seahawks will have their entire battery of wide receivers available at the same time, something that has not happened much this season.

"I think Branch is going to be able to practice some," Holmgren told the Seattle-area media on Monday. "His quickness and his hands, he's an excellent receiver. He's our starting flanker. So when he comes back, you get a real high-caliber player back in your lineup." [READ]
