Sunday, November 11, 2001 - While sitting in the Pepsi Center press room after a recent Denver Nuggets game, a friendly debate ensued about what was the most lopsided NBA trade over the summer. My bad trade of choice was the Chicago Bulls sending proven 22-year-old power forward Elton Brand, the 2000 co-NBA rookie of the year, to the Los Angeles Clippers for unproven high school player Tyson Chandler. The Sacramento Kings stealing solid point guard Mike Bibby from the Memphis Grizzlies for erratic point guard Jason Williams was another. But one of the debaters strongly chose the New Jersey Nets obtaining all-NBA point guard Jason Kidd from the Phoenix Suns for Eastern Conference all-star Stephon Marbury. |
