Charles Oakley was fined $50,000 for his comments about the moves of Bulls coach Tim Floyd in their 53 point blowout loss to the Timberwolves a few days back, and it certainly doesn't seem to phase him. While he is talking to lawyers and might appeal the fine, he made a point of showing the Bulls that he is not hurting.

"I'll probably match it and give $50,000 to charity to let them know that, hey, don't embarrass me with a fine because this is not slavery," Oakley said. "I can speak. Don't treat me like that. All a fine is is a slap in my face. What I said wasn't that outstanding or embarrassing. I'm probably going to say a lot more."

But if Oakley does say more then this whole episode will continue to have life injected into it rather than letting the turmoil drift off into the night. Some of his teammates offered to help Oakley to cover the fine, an offer that Oakley declined.

Asked if his relationship with Oakley had suffered irreparable damage, Floyd said: "I don't know. We'll find out."
