WASHINGTON -- Michael Jordan's frustration is apparent, not only because he is far from vintage form, his once flawless jump shot clanging off the rim, but because the Washington Wizards are far from a talented team. That was obvious Friday night at MCI Center as the Warriors embarrassed the Wizards in the paint in a 109-100 win. They relegated Jordan to a one-man team, a prospect many feared when he decided to return to the NBA after a three-year retirement. While Jordan was scoring 32 points on a season-high 30 shots, his teammates were watching in passive fashion, including veterans such as Christian Laettner, who scored just three points in 29 minutes after tallying 29 Wednesday in Boston. |
