Hankton, who has 26 catches for 247 yards in two seasons with the Jags, was slowed by what the team called a high ankle sprain during the preseason. He had been listed as questionable for Sunday's opener against Seattle.
"Doctors determined [surgery] was necessary, that rest was not going to make it better," coach Jack Del Rio said. "It's a simple procedure to allow him to get back in a few weeks without the continuing pain." [READ] |
