| 19th November, 2007 - 10:45 am | ESPN.com - Lloyd Carr retired Monday after 13 seasons as Michigan's football coach, opening up the job leading the nation's winningest program.
Now that Carr has stepped aside, LSU's Les Miles appears to be the heavy favorite to become Michigan's next coach.
Carr, who was groomed for the position by the legendary Bo Schembechler, leaves after having directed the Wolverines to 121 wins, five Big Ten titles and a national championship.
