Philadelphia 17, Miami 7 Despite losing Donovan McNabb to an injury midway through the second quarter, the Eagles were able to win consecutive games for the first time this season. A.J. Feeley led Philadelphia on two scoring drives in the second half, including a 4-yard connection with Jason Avant in the fourth quarter. Miami, still winless, took a 7-0 lead on a punt return by Ted Ginn Jr., but weren?t able to score in the remaining forty-four minutes of the game. The win propelled the Eagles into the NFC Wild Card race, but a trip to Foxboro this Sunday night might end up hurting their chances. Fantasy Star: Brian Westbrook, PHI: 148 rushing yards. Green Bay 31, Carolina 14 Brett Favre chewed up the Panthers? defense at Lambeau Field Sunday night, en route to a 31-14 victory over Carolina. Favre connected with Packers receivers for three touchdowns and 218 passing yards. Vinny Testaverde provided the Panthers with a valiant effort, 258 yards and two touchdowns, but his two interceptions gave Green Bay the space they needed to improve to 9-1 on the season. The Packers have a three-game lead over the Lions in the NFC North, with just six games left until the postseason. Fantasy Star: Donald Lee, GB: Five receptions for 49 yards and two touchdowns. Arizona 35, Cincinnati 27 Kurt Warner and the Arizona Cardinals have remained resilient despite multiple injuries this season, and have gotten themselves back to .500 (5?5). Warner posted 212 yards and two scores, connecting with both Larry Fitzgerald and Anquan Boldin in the end zone. The Bengals, who have underachieved all year long, fell to 3-7 with the loss at home to the Cardinals. Antrel Rolle led the Cardinals to victory with three interceptions, including two returns for touchdowns. Believe it or not, Arizona is in the think of the NFC Wild Card race. Fantasy Star: Larry Fitzgerald, ARI: Eight receptions for 93 yards and a touchdown. Cleveland 33, Baltimore 30 (OT) This AFC North battle was even better than expected, with the Browns prevailing over the Ravens in overtime thanks to a Phil Dawson field goal. Cleveland led 27-14 through three quarters, but Baltimore was able to rally back and take a 30-27 lead in the final moments of the game. However, Derek Anderson led the Browns on a quick drive to get Dawson in range for a 51-yard game-tying field goal as time expired. Anderson and Dawson then repeated the feat in overtime. The win keeps the Browns within a game of the division-leading Steelers, while the loss delivers a serious blow to the Ravens? playoff hopes. Fantasy Star: Willis McGahee, BAL: 102 rushing yards and one touchdown. N.Y. Giants 16, Detroit 10 The game wasn?t pretty, but the Giants were able to keep pace with the Cowboys in the NFC East with a win over the Lions in Detroit. Unfortunately for New York, they lost defender Mathius Kiwanuka to a broken leg in the process. The Giants may not have hung too many points on the Lions? defense, but Eli Manning was impressive nonetheless totaling 283 yards and one touchdown. Manning was also incredibly accurate, connecting on 28 of his 39 pass attempts. Jon Kitna threw the ball 43 times for 377 yards and a touchdown, but his three interceptions kept the Lions from earning their seventh win of the season. Fantasy Star: Eli Manning, NYG: 283 passing yards and a touchdown. Tampa Bay 31, Atlanta 7 Bobby Petrino may be regretting his decision to start Byron Leftwich over Joey Harrington in Week Eleven. Tampa Bay had the Falcons shut out until the final minute of the game when Harrington, thrust into the game for a struggling Leftwich, connected with Adam Jennings on a 7-yard score. Jeff Garcia led the Buccaneers? balanced offensive attack, throwing for a mediocre 159 yards but connecting on two touchdown passes. Earnest Graham totaled 102 rushing yards against the Atlanta defense and reached the end zone to the start the fourth quarter. The win gives Tampa Bay a two-game lead in the NFC South, and all but eliminates Atlanta from the playoff picture. Fantasy Star: Earnest Graham, TB: 102 rushing yards and a touchdown. Minnesota 29, Oakland 22 Raiders? quarterback Daunte Culpepper tried his hardest to defeat his old team, but Chester Taylor and the Vikings were too much for the former Minnesota fan-favorite. Taylor, filling in for injured rookie phenom Adrian Peterson, rushed for 164 yards and three touchdowns and the Vikings? defense held on late to preserve the victory. Culpepper aired it out for 344 yards and a touchdown, but a Hail Mary attempt on the final play of the game was unsuccessful. Minnesota was able to overcome five turnovers, thanks in large part to Taylor?s dominating day on the ground. Fantasy Star: Chester Taylor, MIN: 164 rushing yards and three touchdowns. Jacksonville 24, San Diego 17 David Garrard looked sharp in his return to the field for the Jaguars as they kept pace with the Indianapolis Colts in the AFC South. Garrard passed for 189 yards and two touchdowns, leading Jacksonville over the struggling Chargers. Philip Rivers passed for over 300 yards, but San Diego?s fourth quarter comeback was derailed with an interception in the final moments on Sunday. The combination of Fred Taylor and Maurice Jones-Drew out-produced LaDainian Tomlinson. Taylor and Jones-Drew rushed for 118 yards and a score, while Tomlinson only tallied 62 yards to go along with his touchdown. Fantasy Star: Chris Chambers, SD: Four receptions for 93 yards. Indianapolis 13, Kansas City 10 The Colts came very close to losing their third-straight game, but Adam Vinatieri bailed Peyton Manning and company out with a late field goal to defeat the Chiefs. Manning threw for just 163 yards and an interception, falling to throw a touchdown against the usually porous Kansas City secondary. Brodie Croyle kept the Chiefs in the game until the final moments, when Manning led the Colts down field to set up Vinatieri?s game-winning field goal. Joseph Addai was the Colts? offensive star, rushing for 72 yards and a score. Priest Holmes, who made the start for Kansas City, only managed 55 yards on nineteen carries. Fantasy Star: Dwayne Bowe, KC: Seven receptions for 64 yards and a touchdown. Seattle 30, Chicago 23 Rex Grossman played well for the Bears, but Matt Hasselbeck and the Seahawks shredded the Bears? defense en route to an important victory in the NFC playoff race. Hasselbeck passed for 337 yards and two touchdowns to keep the Seahawks ahead of the surging Cardinals in the NFC West. Grossman went 24-for-37 with 266 yards, but failed to reach the end zone. Cedric Benson enjoyed a nice day for the Bears though, adding 89 rushing yards and a touchdown. Chicago?s defense, however, had no answer for Hasselbeck and wide receiver D.J. Hackett. Hasselbeck connected with Hackett nine times for 136 yards and a score. Fantasy Star: Matt Hasselbeck, SEA: 337 passing yards and two touchdowns. Houston 23, New Orleans 10 Reggie who? The Texans manhandled the Saints and running back Reggie Bush at Reliant Stadium on Sunday, improving their record to 5?5 in the process. Houston limited Bush to just 34 yards on the ground, while Ron Dayne rumbled through for 89 yards of his own. Matt Schaub and Andre Johnson, both returning from injury for the Texans, connected six times for 120 yards and a touchdown ? nearly all they needed to knock off New Orleans. The Saints? offense wasn?t horrible, but it wasn?t consistent either. After opening the season with four losses they rallied back to win four-straight, but this defeat marks their second in as many weeks. Fantasy Star: Matt Schaub, HOU: 293 passing yards and two touchdowns. St. Louis 13, San Francisco 9 The Rams are on a roll. St. Louis won their second consecutive game on Sunday, beating the struggling 49ers on the road. Neither team did much of anything offensively, but the Rams were able to hold off a late flurry by San Francisco to earn the win. Trent Dilfer, playing for the injured and struggling Alex Smith, threw for 231 yards and two interceptions. Marc Bulger didn?t shine either, but his first quarter touchdown strike to Torry Holt made up for his dismal 155 passing yards. Both teams now stand at 2-8, better than only the winless Dolphins and tied with the Jets and Raiders. Fantasy Star: Steven Jackson, STL: 92 rushing yards. N.Y. Jets 19, Pittsburgh 16 (OT) Many labeled this a ?trap? game for the AFC North-leading Steelers, but someone forgot to warn Ben Roethlisberger and company heading into their battle with the one-win Jets. Kellen Clemens earned his first victory as an NFL starter, leading New York to a 19-16 win over the Steelers in overtime. Mike Nugent nailed a 28-yard field goal to send the game into overtime with just 23 seconds left on the clock, and then won the game with a 38-yarder a little more than five minutes into the extra period. The Jets? rush defense held Willie Parker, who came into the game as the league?s second leading rusher, to just 52 yards while getting a tremendous effort from Thomas Jones, who tallied 117 yards against Pittsburgh?s swarming defense. Fantasy Star: Santonio Holmes, PIT: Five receptions for 75 yards and a touchdown. Dallas 28, Washington 23 Tony Romo and Terrell Owens enjoyed a fruitful day on offense, but Jason Campbell and the pesky Redskins just wouldn?t go away. Campbell threw for a career-high 348 yards and two touchdowns, but an interception on Washington?s final drive stalled the team?s comeback. Romo passed for 293 yards and four scores, all of which went to Owens. Neither team got much from their running game as Campbell and Romo engaged in a sling-fest. The win kept the Cowboys tied with the Packers for the best record in the NFC, and may have eliminated the Redskins from the NFC East race. Fantasy Star: Terrell Owens, DAL: Eight receptions for 173 yards and four touchdowns. Patriots 56, Buffalo 10 New England?s historic season remains intact as the Patriots improved to 10-0 with a dominating victory over the Buffalo Bills. Tom Brady and Randy Moss hooked up for four first-half touchdowns, putting the game out of reach soon after the opening kickoff. Brady went 31-for-39 with 373 passing yards and five touchdowns. Buffalo?s lone touchdown came early on a J.P. Losman pass to Roscoe Parrish. New England will host Philadelphia this coming Sunday night in hopes of getting closer to an undefeated season. Fantasy Star: Randy Moss, NE: Ten Receptions for 128 yards and four touchdowns.
