Vikes' Peterson Has Torn Knee Ligament

Yahoo.com - Vikings rookie running back Adrian Peterson has a torn ligament in his right knee and is out indefinitely, the team announced Monday.

The NFL's leading rusher, Peterson underwent an MRI that revealed a torn right lateral collateral ligament, Vikings coach Brad Childress said during his news conference Monday.

No timetable has been set for Peterson's return, but Childress said he would not play against the Oakland Raiders next Sunday. [READ]
