Indy's Harrison Won't Play Against Chargers

ESPN - Colts' receiver Marvin Harrison's left knee injury will keep him out of the team's game in San Diego on Sunday night.

Harrison didn't make the trip to San Diego on Saturday. He participated in limited practice work this week and was previously listed as questionable for the game.

The Colts are characterizing Harrison's injury as a bruised knee, but a source with knowledge of Harrison's injury told ESPN's Ed Werder earlier this month that the receiver has been told his knee pain is likely to persist through the remainder of the season and perhaps for the rest of his career.

According to the source, specialists who have examined Harrison do not view surgery as a viable option because there is no guarantee of success and would require six months of rehabilitation. [READ]
