| 25th August, 2005 - 2:26 pm |  Star-Telegram - The Dallas Cowboys dropped their former second-round pick Jacob Rogers, less than 18 months after being drafted causing many to wonder why.
Cowboys coach Bill Parcells had told his players in January that changes were coming and players not on board were going.
Rogers failed to show Parcells any sign of adapting and thus was released.
"This is one thing I've learned from [former Green Bay Packers general manager] Ron Wolf. When you see something and you know it's not going to work, cut your losses," Parcells said. "Don't worry about what anyone thinks about it. I think that's very true. I've seen people spend good money after bad and waste time trying to make their drafts look like they're something, and, at the end of the day, it's a waste of time."
