Star-Telegram - According to multiple NFL sources, the "ball is in" Tony Romo's court to decide what to he wants to do as far as a contract extension.

The Cowboys already have made a few offers, but so far nothing has come back. And given the way the season is going, the longer Romo waits, the bigger his contract extension grows.

Sources said Sunday that the Cowboys have not scheduled any meetings with Romo's agent, Tom Condon. This doesn't mean the two sides won't meet anytime soon. Cowboys owner/general manager Jerry Jones said Sunday that his original timeline of waiting until after the season to complete a deal with Romo is obsolete.

"It's not the way these things work. You let things evolve," Jones said. "We know his value. We've seen his value. We want him to be the Cowboys' quarterback; he wants to be the Cowboys' quarterback. With those dynamics, we should be able to get something done." [READ]
