Packers Finalize Sherman Extension

The Journal Sentinel - The Green Bay Packers finalized a contract extension that will keep head coach Mike Sherman in Green Bay through the 2007 season. Sherman will receive $3.2 million a year.

"I think it's a good commitment on the part of the Packers and I think it's a good commitment on the part of Mike Sherman," Packers general manager Thompson said Tuesday, after the Packers formally announced the extension. "It's good for all parties. That's what I was looking for, a comfort level at some point with all of the parameters that I discussed to make sure everybody is comfortable here.
