LSU's Miles Tries To Avoid Michigan Rumors

Detroit Free-Press - Les Miles would like to ignore is the growing speculation that he will be the top candidate to replace Lloyd Carr at Michigan, whose future got even shakier after Saturday's loss to Oregon. Miles played and coached under Bo Schembechler at Michigan and has a clause in his contract that would require him to pay LSU $1.25 million if he leaves for Ann Arbor before his contract expires in 2011. If he goes to any other school, there is no buyout penalty.

?That would be the only place he would go, but I don?t know if he would want to leave this,? LSU tailback Jacob Hester said.

Miles had numerous quotes about the subject this past weekend. He did not confirm or deny any interest in the job. [READ]
