Browns Sign Punter, Waive Cornerback

The Columbus Dispatch - The Cleveland Browns made a last-minute roster move yesterday by signing punter Paul Ernster and waiving cornerback Jereme Perry.

Ernster will play today against the Pittsburgh Steelers on short notice as Browns punter Dave Zastudil was ruled out because of a sore back. Zastudil was injured in practice Monday, and his status was up in the air all week.

Ernster was one of five punters the team worked out last week. He played last season for the Denver Broncos, averaging 41.7 yards a punt. [READ]
