Raiders To Start McCown At QB

MSNBC - The Oakland Raiders will start Josh McCown and not Daunte Culpepper at quarterback when they open the season Sunday against the Detroit Lions, the NFL Network reported Wednesday.

ESPN earlier said that Culpepper would start, but then began to back off that assertion.

Having the worst records in the NFL in 2006 gave the Oakland Raiders and the Detroit Lions the top two picks in April?s draft. Only one of those players selected will be on the field Sunday, though, in the season opener for both teams. [READ]
