Rogers Decision For Surgery Could Cost Him His Cowboy Career

Star-Telegram - The Dallas Cowboys are not happy with offensive tackle Jacob Rogers? decision to undergo season-ending surgery on his ailing right knee.

"It was discouraging that he elected to have surgery," Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said. "We were hoping he would play through that. We were making plans for him to come to practice the next day, not have surgery."

Asked if Rogers had a future in a Cowboys uniform, Jones said "I don't know."

"It is the player's choice to have surgery," Jones said. "It's always the player's choice. But to make the team, get established, you have to play through injuries. Mark Tuinei played many seasons through serious complications.
