21st August, 2007 - 4:48 pm
RealGM Staff Report - Kansas City Chiefs President Carl Peterson announced on Tuesday that RB Larry Johnson has agreed to a contract renegotiation for 2007 and five-year extension that will keep him under contract through the 2012 season. As per Chiefs policy, no further terms of the agreement were announced.

?It?s been a little bit of a lengthy negotiation, but I think, a good one, a fair one on both sides,? Peterson said.

?He?s obviously very important to this organization and a big part of our offense. It?s good to have him here. We?re glad he?s going to be here ? perhaps for the remainder of his career. I hope it goes beyond six years. We are looking forward to the start of the regular season and we are pleased that Larry is on the field with his teammates, getting prepared for Opening Day in Houston.? [READ]
