Oregon is scheduled to play BSU at Bronco Stadium on Sept. 5, 2009. The Ducks want to move that game to Beijing or Shanghai in what could be a first for college football or the NFL.
"It would be a great experience for our kids and for the program," BSU athletic director Gene Bleymaier said Tuesday night. "It would be great exposure. From a cultural standpoint and educational standpoint, there would definitely be some benefits. That's why we are going to look into it and see if there's a way to make it happen."
The idea, though, is a long way from fruition, Bleymaier cautioned.
"There's a thousand things that have to be worked out and none of them have been worked out," he said. "It's a long, long way. It's an idea right now. They're not sure, and we're not sure, if it's even feasible." [READ] |
