It may seem like Detroit Pistons center Victor Alexander came out of nowhere, but his return to the NBA was years in the making. After weight problems, poor play and poor attitude bounced him from the league in 1996, the Detroit native spent three years in Europe trying to salvage his game and maybe, just maybe, play his way back into the NBA. He had good statistical seasons overseas, which came as a surprise to no one. Alexander, with those soft-as-butter hands, could always score. |
