Vikings Sign Adrian Peterson

RealGM Staff Report - The Minnesota Vikings have agreed to terms with 1st-round draft choice RB Adrian Peterson (#7 overall) from Oklahoma. The Vikings have now signed/agreed to terms with all 8 of their draft picks from the 2007 NFL Draft.

Peterson was a 3-time All-Big 12 1st-team honoree and finished his collegiate career ranked 3rd in OU history with 4,045 yards and 4th with 41 rushing TDs. In 2004, he was named Associated Press 1st-team All-America, the first Sooner true freshman to earn the honor. Peterson set the school record that season with 1,925 rushing yards as a freshman, breaking Billy Sims? record of 1,896 in 1978, and finished as the runner-up for the 2004 Heisman Trophy.

In his final season at Oklahoma in 2006, Peterson broke the 1,000-yard mark despite missing 7 games with a collarbone injury. He broke the 100-yard mark in 6 of 7 games he played in on the season. [READ]
