A few days ago, the Mavericks learned they didn't like playing without Michael Finley. Sunday, they learned it's equally as agonizing without Dirk Nowitzki. And particularly bad when there is little defense to offset his absence. Especially when it all comes against the fast-running, high-scoring Sacramento Kings. With no Nowitzki, no other Mavericks player making up for his loss and some porous defense, the Kings dashed to a 107-88 victory Sunday night at Arco Arena. "All I can say is, 'Wow,'" Mavericks coach Don Nelson said. "That's the best team we've seen in quite a while." |
