Goodell Denies Thurman's Reinstatement

Cincinnati Enquirer - The Bengals announced this morning that Odell Thurman's application for reinstatement was denied by NFL commissioner Roger Goodell.

Thurman can apply again for reinstatement after the the 2007 season.

Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis, who pulled into camp at 12:30 p.m. today, had little to say about Thurman. Lewis had left the door open for a Thurman return.

"I am disappointed for Odell," is all Lewis would say on Thursday.

Defensive coordinator Chuck Bresnahan declined to comment about Thurman and referred to reporters to Lewis. [READ]
