Eagles, QB Kolb Close To Deal

New Jersey Times - The Eagles and Kevin Kolb, the team's first pick (36th overall) in the April draft, have accelerated negotiations on a four-year contract, and an agreement is ex pected before Friday's 5 p.m. deadline for rookies and selected veterans to report to training camp at Lehigh University, a source close to the former University of Houston quarterback told The Times yesterday.

Kolb is in Philadelphia, another sign that the front office and his Houston-based agent, Jeff Nalley, are nearing the finish line. [READ]
