Irish To Play 2009 "Home Game" In Alamodome

Yahoo.com - Notre Dame will leave the shadow of "Touchdown Jesus" to defend the Alamo for one day in 2009.

Notre Dame announced Friday that it will host Washington State in San Antonio's Alamodome on October 31, 2009.

The contest marks the first in an annual series of off-site "home" games for the Fighting Irish, who evidently want to branch out to their national fan base.

Notre Dame AD Kevin White was thrilled to see his original plan for off-site home games come to fruition with Friday's announcement. [READ]
