Brown Will Be Back For 15th Season

Boston Herald - Troy Brown isn?t going anywhere. According to league sources, the wide receiver has reached agreement on a one-year deal that will bring him back to New England for a 15th season and ensure that Mr. Patriot remains in Foxboro.

Only Steve Grogan, who took snaps for 16 years, spent more time in a Patriots uniform. Brown, who turned 36 on July 2, has spent the last six months rehabbing his knee following surgery to repair a torn patellar tendon. He has been a fixture at Gillette Stadium, where he still has a locker, and took part in the team?s charitable golf tournament, leading to speculation that his return was a done deal.

However, according to a source close to the receiver, he had drawn interest from other clubs and was prepared to leave if the Patriots shifted course from coach Bill Belichick?s March proclamation that Brown would be in the team?s plans. [READ]
