LenDale White Looking To Shed Weight Issue

Denver Post - It's all on the plate for LenDale White. The Tennessee Titans let leading rusher Travis Henry sign with Denver, leaving the backfield wide open with White the top returning running back.

Oops. It's best not to put the words "plate" and "White" in the same sentence. White has battled weight issues since leaving Southern California after his junior year, and critics say it could keep him on the bench this season.

"It's not that I have an eating problem," White said. "I'm not going to leave here and go to Wendy's and get 17 cheeseburgers. It's nothing like that. I know I can control myself."

Reports out of Nashville had the 6-foot-1 White ballooning to 260 pounds before the Titans' offseason program began in March. That's 20 pounds over his playing weight. He did show a bit of a stomach under his white, untucked Titans jersey Saturday but not 20 pounds of stomach. [READ]
