16th May, 2005 - 7:57 pm
The Baltimore Sun - The Baltimore Ravens All-Pro running back Jamal Lewis was noticeably absent from the teams first off-season minicamp on Monday. Lewis is currently finish up up a 4-month prison sentence in Pensacola, FL for using a cell phone more than four years ago to arrange a drug deal.

"This sounds terrible, but he's in a great, regimented environment," Ravens coach Ray Billick said. "There's not a lot else for him to do but to stay focused."

"I'm comfortable with his rehab, but I think it would be great to have him up here in this environment," Billick said. "I'm not particularly concerned about the time he would miss in [June] minicamps, but I think it would be great for him to be up here around his teammates." [READ]
