Saban Accused Of Mistreating Players

Miami Herald - Nick Saban, who quit the Dolphins in January to coach the Crimson Tide, has been accused by quarterback Jimmy Barnes' father of mistreating his players. John Barnes, a longtime high school football coach in Southern California, said his son left the team because of the way he was treated -- not a lack of playing time.

''To be honest with you, it's the way [Saban] is treating kids,'' John Barnes told The Birmingham News. ``What Jim told Saban was he was not going to give up his dignity and be treated like that.''

Saban infamously made former Dolphins defensive tackle Manuel Wright cry on the practice field during training camp in 2005. Wright left the team a year later, citing depression and constant disagreements with Saban. [READ]
