Texans RB Davis Signs 5-Year Deal

Houston Chronicle - The Houston Texans signed running back Domanick Davis to a five-year contract extension worth $21.1 million.

"Domanick was going to make the league minimum, and we didn't feel that was appropriate based on his accomplishments his first two seasons," general manager Charley Casserly said after practice Saturday. "We feel he's become one of the league's top rushers, and we wanted to compensate him as such."

Davis has surpassed the 1000-yark for two consecutive seasons. [READ]
